What Is Halloween?
Modern Halloween is an annual celebration on October 31st that blends Celtic traditions, Christian customs, and secular fun into a worldwide, fun-filled evening of trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving and costume parties. The Catholic Church adapted some of these Celtic traditions in the 8th century. Halloween of October 31st marks the beginning of Allhallowtide, which is a Catholic holiday that remembers the dead. All Saints’ Day follows on November 1st and All Souls’ Day on the 2nd of November. The day before All Saints’ Day is All Hallows’ Eve, which was later shortened to Halloween.
Ancient Halloween is a demonic, unholy day observed by trying to communicate with the spirits of the dead through witchcraft, sorcery and a medium. Historically, the Celtics believed that during this one night of the year, the spirits of loved ones would come back into their dead bodies and they will come alive again. This is why Halloween is also known as the Day of The Living Dead characterized by tombstones, graves, skeletons, corps and zombies. By performing rituals, one can fellowship with these spirits.
It Is Necromancy
The rituals typically involve witchcraft, black magic and sorcery. The purpose of these rituals is to try to bring dead people back by summoning their spirits or ghosts to communicate with for divination; imparting the means to foretell the future and to discover hidden knowledge. However, dead people know nothing and they cannot come back to life until resurrected by King Jesus (Ecclesiastes 9:5, John 5:25, 11:25).
Necromancy dates 5000 years back when God told the children of Israel not to engage in these disgusting practices in Deuteronomy 18:9-14 saying:
9“When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the detestable practices of those nations. 10There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a fortune teller, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a psychic, or none who calls up the spirits of the dead. 12For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God will drive them out of the land from before you. 13You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. 14For these nations which you will dispossess listened to sorcerers and fortune tellers; but as for you, the Lord your God has not appointed such for you.”
Halloween Is Becoming More Popular
Over the years, Halloween has evolved to seductively attract more people to observe this unholy day. Under the new theme, “Boo!” you can observe Halloween however you want as long as you put on a costume and scare the living daylights out of people. The keepers of Halloween probably asked: How can the Day of The Living Dead condemn Christians and all children as well as secular society? The answers are: make it a Christian holiday and, of course, offer the kids free candy and treats. As a result, the kidnap rate soars to its highest on this day of the year – probably due to pedophilia. Observer spending is also higher than most other occasions; and whatever you spend your money on is what you love.
Do Not Be Deceived!
Halloween is a trick to get you and your children to worship or highly regard dead people and to entertain familiar spirits unknowingly by performing rituals for fun. The sacrilegious acts invite demons and evil spirits into your home, your children’s home, your spirit and your life to possess you, to control you and to condemn you. You cannot toy with evil. If you give the devil a foothold, he will gain a strong hold over your life. We are like innocent children who do not know the dangers of the spiritual world that we cannot see. But the Holy Father, who knows everything, tells His children exactly what we should not do to protect us from condemnation.
I am StreetPreacher
…preaching the Good News of King Jesus and His Kingdom on the streets of New York City from a Hebrew perspective. It is a shame how the devil deceives people into condemnation. Christians will not keep the Fall Sabbaths of the Lord of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), Atonement (Yom Kippur) and Tabernacles (Sukkot), which just passed a couple of weeks ago. They would rather keep the parody of All Saints’ Day, All Souls’ Day and dress up in expensive costumes honoring and exalting the demon of fear on Halloween Day. This is exactly the opposite of what God wants. The same is true for Easter or Passover and Christmas or Chanukah…unbelievable. Jesus commands us to always be faithful, never be fearful – you cannot be both – and absolutely do not entertain the spirit of fear.
Sadly, the image below is a photograph of probably a three-year-old wearing a red-devil costume with horns and her sibling wearing a black-witch costume. Satan’s bribe is: “I will give your children a free piece of candy if they will make believe they are a devil and a witch” to entertain evil spirits. Parents, please do not expose your impressionable, young ones to evil characters for fun. They may grow up to be Satan worshipers and witches.
Pray the Sinner’s Prayer with me today so God will keep your soul from evil spirits saying:
Holy Father in heaven, thank You for calling me. I am an unworthy sinner. I now turn from my evil, selfish ways. I believe in my heart Jesus died for my sins and You raised Him up on the third day. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the King of my life and I will obey His laws. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
You are saved. Now what? Study the whole Bible, get baptized and practice Christianity.
